Introduction to Qada' and Qadar

The introduction explains that belief in Qada' and Qadar is a fundamental aspect of Islamic faith. It emphasizes that this belief leads to contentment and satisfaction, even during hardships, as it is tied to Allah's role in nourishing and sustaining the universe. The concept is supported by a verse from Surah Al Qamar.

Definition of Qada' and Qadar

Qada' and Qadar are defined with their linguistic roots. Al-Qadar refers to Allah's complete knowledge and preordainment of all things, while Al-Qada' refers to the execution of these decrees. The terms are often used together to describe the concept of divine pre-destination.

Four Components of Qada' and Qadar The four components are Knowledge, Writing, Will, and Creation. Knowledge involves Allah's awareness of everything. Writing refers to the recording of all events in the Preserved Tablet. Will indicates that nothing happens without Allah's will. Creation asserts that Allah is the creator of everything, including life and death.

Benefits of Belief in Qada' and Qadar

Belief in Qada' and Qadar brings several benefits, including peace of mind, focus on present actions, increased willpower, humility, and total dependence on Allah. It also helps eliminate negative traits like envy and jealousy while promoting good manners.

I have learned that Islam does not only teach us from a spiritual perspective, but also covers all aspects of life, including health, laws, spirituality, faith, and every dimension of life. In usrah, I am able to study Islam more deeply, make new friends, gain lessons, and learn new things. Furthermore, usrah teaches me to always respect one another and appreciate the great value of love and compassion among Muslims.
