Every day the world continues to evolve and more technology continues to grow. A place, were social media has become a part of our daily life. How many hours a day we spent on our phones? We know that, by the reading "A connected World", the country that spends more time on social media is the Philippines. Nevertheless, here in Puerto Rico, they interviewed 1,000 people to see how many hours they were on their phones. Seeing that the common apps they used were WhatsApp, Facebook, Youtube and Instagram, with a total of 4.8 hours a day.

Reading Reaching for the sky, made me realize that here in Puerto Rico are a lot of movements of airplanes. Sometimes we can see a lot of them through the day or even the sound at night. As well as, a variety of stations for airplanes to land. In this video we can see how the plane of the US Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt, can be seen in San Juan Puerto Rico. Something very rare, but very exciting and different to see in the island.

Circo Fest

I've always wonder if here in Puerto Rico were a lot of circus. Well, I guess I was right. The online page Discover Puerto Rico, posted a news that last year on March 12, they would return to the Old San Juan for the 8th time. That said, they were since 11 am to 9 pm, offering a variety of 80 shows throughout the Old San Juan. Meaning that, a lot of people enjoyed the shows and saw something different, new and the effort that they put on them, because it's something they love and do for a living, like Emily Ainsworth once did.

Caves to explore in Puerto Rico

Caves can be dangerous and can put your life at risk. But if we look at it with another perspective, we could find the beauty in it. In Puerto Rico, there are a large amount of caves that family and friends can visit and take a day to adventure. Some of them are: Window Cave, Indian Cave and Rio Camuy Cave Park. Each and every one of them have there charm. A place were geologist have made discoveries and people now can enjoy; know its history.

Sometimes we think that we have to go to other towns to have an unforgettable adventure. However, we can do microadventures in our hometown. In my case, in Las Piedras the town where I live, I can do a variety of things. One of them is a contact with nature; Hacienda 8A. A place that can be enjoyed for its views and horseback riding.

After reading A movie goer's guide to London, I realized that many famous movies were filmed on my island. Famous films such as Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011), recorded at the Castillo San Cristóbal in San Juan and the Cueva del Indio in Arecibo. As well as, on Palomito Island off coast by the town of Fajardo. The list continues with films like Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), Fast Five (2011), Captain America: Civil War (2016), among others. So, without realizing it, Puerto Rico has been part of incredible movies with highly recognized actors.

What type of local adventure would you like to undertake?

There are many things you can do in Puerto Rico, but there is one specific thing that I would love to do. I would like to go camping on the island. There is a place called Bosque Toro Negro and it looks spectacular. A place that I know will have a great time with the family, creating memories that will last forever. A microadventure with the people I love most, trying something different and getting out of my comfort zone.

They receive many visits and likes' without leaving their country. This is because, living in a place like Puerto Rico they have countless places to photograph and capture those moments. Places like Old San Juan, El Yunque National Forest or Bio Bay; wonderful and unforgettable.

After watching A million "Likes" I realized that it takes a lot of patience and love for nature, either being a photographer for National Geographic or working solo. Sometimes they have to spend days, months or even years, trying to take the perfect picture. Therefore, when I saw the photo of the tale of the whale by the photographer Brian Skerry I was amazed by it's beauty. It means that they have to travel to other places, but here in Puerto Rico we have the opportunity to witness these whales on the west cost from January to March. A moment were a lot of photographers around the world can gather for the Whale Season and what better way to be a photographer and live in Puerto Rico and see it at its maximum splendor.
