This poem reminded me of the part in the book of when Jacob was troubled about should he stay in the loop or should he go back home. From the book - I had just a few more days to decide what to do. stay or go-neither option seemed good. How could i possibly stay here and leave behind everything I'd Known? But after all I'd learn, how could I go home? Emma made frequent and passionate arguments as to why I should stay. She would say " With you here, It'll be better." This shows that Emma was there for him and is willing to help lift his mood.

This song is a great example about the children's friendship. It goes - You rescue me when my hope is gone, We went together to make it fun. You pick me up when i'm on the ground, you cheer me up when i'm feeling down. We make our sun on a rainy day, we find a lucky star at night. And help is always on the way, we turn the darkness into light. Best friends stick together, Good friends will stay forever. This is similar to when the kids had to leave Miss Peregrine's home after it was destroyed. They had almost nothing except for each other. They had to come together to cheer each other up and help everyone get through the tough times.

This YouTube videonis about Chris Betancourt’sand how his body is betraying him with leukemia. Without a bone marrow transplant, he might only have one year to live. His best friend since childhood, Dillon, made it his mission to help Chris through this tough time by helping him complete his bucket list. They document their journey online hoping it would reach someone willing to be a donor to Chris. This is similar to when Millard was shot by Golan trying to defear him. The other children did everything they can to help him and save him.
