Polar regions include places that lay at very high latitudes. Polar areas experience polar day and polar night, this means that for half the year it is only sunny and the other half it's dark. The reason for this is because of the tilt of the earths axis half the year this places experiences direct sunlight all day and the other half of the year it experiences no sunlight . These counties or continents include Alaska, Antarctica and the North Pole.

Temperate areas lay at mid latitude areas. This is one of the reasons why temperate areas experience seasons. The main reason the temperate areas experience seasons is because of the tilt of the earths axis. Because of this mid latitude areas experience the most varying amount of sunlight throughout the year, causing there to be seasons.

Tropical areas lay at low latitudes. This is part of the reason why it is very humid and hot in tropical areas. Tropical areas do not experience 4 seasons, instead they experience rainy seasons and dry seasons. The reason that low latitude areas experience very little season is because the sun is in direct contact with the equator throughout the whole year. Tropical areas lay very close to the equator, hens at low latitude. Some tropical counties include Singapore, Bali and Thailand.
