Change Rooms in Pastoral Offices

I think that the pastoral leader officers in J and G block should be turned into change rooms when the admin building is complete. This will allow students getting change from HPE to not have to wait as long, and kids will not be getting to class as late. Also, G block could be a boys change room and J block could be a girls one and vice-versa.

Better Maintenance in the boy's bathroom.

I am a boy and have been in there and they are simply disgusting. I wish some of the other boys would clean up after themselves and don't scribble on the walls.

InterSchool Sports

If possible it would be amazing for interschool sports if the females got to do rugbyleague as well instead of just the boys.

Chilled Water Taps

At our school, because we do not have air-conditioning, we as students find ourselves feeling hot and stuffy. A way to fix this is by hydrating; however, in the summer the bubbler water is warm, making it worse. By installing chilled water taps will definitely eliminate this issue, and it will help us stay more focused. It could start with just a few around the school, maybe at J, G, and S, as these are all blocks that are not air-conditioned. As pictured, they are quite nice and as an SRC i have spoken to this with my peers and they love the idea, as they agree that this is what we need. Here is one pictured (it is good because you can fill up your water bottle while other students are drinking from the bubler.

Murals

Murals around the school would look nice and the art students (or other interested students) can get involved in this fun activity. It will make the school's aesthetics higher, and will make it more pleasing. the mural pictured makes the building look really nice and it is a fun way to make the community at Siena stronger

UNI Sex uniforms

The college has recently come out with uni-sex uniforms as has been requested for ages, atm you can only see grade 7's wear it and its no wonder as to why. Taking a closer look its simply the male students pants and the females students dress but cut to look like a shirt. It would generally be amazing if more effort was put into it, as i know it would appeal to a lot more of the trans, genderfluid, nonbinary, intersex ect. community at siena more.

LGBTQIA+ day

during the month of June i would love to see an initiative that expresses love to this community, and can give a way for students to freely express themselves. i know it is a difficult subject with the topic of religion arising, but we are in a new age where such discrimination can not be spread in the classroom so why not celebrate the wonderful people who we surround ourselves with. it would be a day for everyone to love who they love and love themselves because love is love. <3

I think it would be a fun day to just be who you are and celebrate with good music. We can do a fun performance on assembly, while also showing a powerpoint with the history of Mardi Gras and the good things that have happened over the course of the years involving same sex marriage, etc. Education is important.

Consent and sex ed

Our sex education is incredibly limited, the only time i recall it being discussed is in year 9. Both females and males need deeper understanding of their own bodies and how they function. The education around consent also needs to be improved, one video talking about "tea" is not enough.

Denim Day takes place on the last Wednesday of April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This day of action and awareness is an event in which people are encouraged to wear denim to combat victim blaming and educate others about sexual violence. It would be a great opportunity to raise awareness for this issue and start meaningful conversation and understanding.

More Mental Health Awareness

I believe that mental health is not talked about enough. In this day and age, more and more people are becoming stressed and depressed, leading to their mental health deteriorating. I believe we need to talk about it more in PC lessons etc.

I think it would be nice for just during pride month to have during home room to just talk about the LGBTQIA+ community just like we did for anti bulling week or international women's day to make queer kids feel appreciated

lots of lgbtqia students are very scared to express themselves due to bullying, so i think we should hold a pride day. It has become part of the culture, specifically in grade 9, to be extremely homophobic.

showers

i think it would be beneficial to have more showers available to us, as students who do sports in the morning end up feeling sweaty throughout the day, one un-renovated shower wont cut it when there are teams of players in desperate need of cleaning. this would also help out students who are in tough situations at home and wish to have the comfort of a shower, i think implementing this will show that siena really cares
