I love Google and get excited using technology. Google seems to open so many doors to knowledge and many doors that we don't even know about yet. What seems exciting to me is that Amazon will be aiming their projects for educators. How exciting! Hopefully by then we will get to use our P.O. for amazon. Amazon already has so many manipulatives and toys that we can use in the classroom that are educational for students! I already love using Google Classroom for my writing assignments, through this resource I got to read about the different applications I can also use in Google Classroom. Such as Pear Deck, this is a way to do an interactive lesson with students. The teacher can present information and students can respond using different tools. SO COOL!

I can't wait to see what the Amazon Educational Resource have to offer. I also think it would be a great idea for me to bring some "Artificial Intelligence" into the classroom for students to experience. We may take it for granted that all students would have been exposed to and are familiar with "artificial intelligence", but I recently realized that I cannot take these things for granted. I teach a sixth grade class and just a few days ago, I asked Siri a question on my phone in front of the students. One thing that can be a hassle is chasing down kids who have missed days of class so that they can catch up and make up any work that they missed. This way I can have one shared space online with my students that they know they can go to to get any missing resources or notes, assignments and rubrics.
Patrick B.]]> 2017-01-30 20:03:06 UTC https://padlet.com/emailkristenlum/pnup3zqgoe9b/wish/150375715 dnakasone https://padlet.com/emailkristenlum/pnup3zqgoe9b/wish/151048294 Because I am not very proficient on all this Google "stuff".  I think I need to look into getting Google certified (#5) so I can learn about the Google possibilities.  I find it difficult, though, to use Google in the classroom when my students don't even have google accounts.  Our school is not ready to administer google accounts to all our students and our students cannot sign up for an account on their own since they are younger than 13.  Any suggestions?

I love amazon and especially living in a time where we use technology more and more, I think having a open resource for teachers and students would be such a great idea. That being said, in terms of free things.... I thought Google Slide for e-books was a cool idea that I can try exploring next year. I also thought the Google Cast thing is intriguing (though I don't know what we would be casting).
