Let me tell you whats going on there, there is no religion what so ever. Atheism is a state policy there, the communists have gone after the Russian Orthodox Church for being Czar supporters along with other religions. They have turned churches into offices and museums. They have taken the religious figures in prisons or they killed them. They have banned Hebrew and Synagogues .
The communists in place of religion have given them an Ideology of communism. Communist even have their own sacred texts, which are just the writings of Marx and Lenin. Homes of the people in the Soviet Union no longer have art of religious figures or icons in their homes, instead they have been replaced with pictures of Stalin.
