Late 1940s-1950s: After returning from the war, Sheeran became involved with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

1950s: Met Jimmy Hoffa, the Teamsters President. Became Hoffa’s trusted enforcer and close friend.

1960s-1970s: Rose to prominence in Local 326 of the Teamsters. Allegedly carried out hits for the Bufalino Crime Family.
