To begin with, men and women have different ways of responding to stress because of their biological reasons.
Human beings, in this contemporary world have various challenges that results in stress. "Stress is a natural human response to pressure when faced with challenging and sometimes dangerous situations. That pressure is not only about what’s happening around us, but often also about demands we place on ourselves"( Mind Health Connect, 2015 ). Both men and women cope with stress in a different manner. This essay will discuss why and how man and women react differently. First of all, men and women report different reactions to stress both physically and mentally. Women would easily have both physical and emotional symptoms on high level once they are stressed. 28% of women reported to be stressed as compared to 20 % of men ( American Psychological Association (APA), n.d). Additionally, almost half of surveyed women said that their stress level has dramatically increased in the past 5 years. The causes that brings women to stress are several such as money, economy, family, relationship. The reported symptoms are emotional with cold cry and physical with headache, stomach or indigestion.
