Sibongile's story has touched a lot of South Africans, some people were furious about the sentence Sibongile got, because they believe what happened was never her fault, people who deposited the money should be the one in the firing line, the court is also destroying her future. Some people argued that Sibongile's actions was of greed that she should have gone to the authorities the minute she learnt her bank balance. The people that authorized that payment need to be held accountable and be investigated because clearly that money was meant to go somewhere else as corruption. Her sentencing was not fair at all. Yes she spent about R800 000 but she should have been given a chance to pay the money back or face 2 year sentence if she could not. The only reason as to why she was sentenced 5 years or even sentenced to jail is because she is a black person. Let alone being black and growing up poor. The first wrong thing of her to do was to take the money and not question where it is coming from. What! Am I  mad who would have done that?

Fine then she kept it but of what good use did she  put the magical money she received into? Perhaps if she bought a house or bricks then she would have been considered and given mercy. Yes she did use the money out of desperation but what were the outcomes? Weaves, clothes.

There are politicians who are accused of stealing serious money from the state but are still free nöt and held accountable, the justice is unfair to the poor.
