         <description><![CDATA[<div>- APD is covered under the IDEA under the umbrella term SLD.<br>- Also known as Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD). <br>- Difficult for kids to distinguish subtle differences between sounds in words. <br>- Typically have normal hearing but struggle to process and make meaning of sounds especially with background noise present.<br>- Main difference is with understanding the sounds of spoken language, not the meaning of what is being said.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Low-tech assistive technology due to them being somewhat inexpensive, teachers can use funding they are provided at the schools.  - This can be retrieved from parent and community resources.  <br>- Earobics is more of an expensive program that would not necessarily be covered by teacher resources but there are state-specific literacy grants that can be applied for.  <br>- With these qualifications, applying for state-specific literacy grants can be a great resource to obtain these materials. </div>]]></description>
