An example of the biological perspective in psychology is how some people inherit depression. Around 50% of cases of depression is due to their brain chemistry and biology passed down by past generations, meaning depression is encoded into some people's genetics. Anti-depressants are able to suppress depression symptoms by affecting the neurotransmitter-levels.

Biology plays a big role in shaping how a person behaves, yes, but other factors majorly impacts the mind as well. The way somebody acts or thinks may be molded into something that conforms with the social standards, a mindset that is socially acceptable. Past experiences can impact the way someone behaves as well, whether it is a traumatic experience, insightful experience, a pleasant one, etc.
