  • Chlamydia - A common, sexually transmitted infection that may not cause symptoms.
  • Gonorrhea - A sexually transmitted bacterial infection that, if untreated, may cause infertility.
  • HIV/AIDS - HIV causes AIDS and interferes with the body's ability to fight infections.
  • Syphilis - A bacterial infection usually spread by sexual contact that starts as a painless sore.

There are many methods which are used for contraception which are listed below:
- Condoms - there are female and male condoms which are physical barriers to prevent pregnancy 
- Daily contraceptive pills - it is a pill which is taken consistently made of synthetic hormones which prevent pregnancy.
- Morning after pill - 
-  Temporary physical barriers - are placed inside uterus to prevent pregnancy
- Natural family planning - is when you watch your menstrual cycle so you know when to not have sex
- Sterilisation - a permanent method of contraception for females
- Vasectomy - a permanent method of contraception for males 
- Vaginal ring - worn inside the vagina to prevent pregnancy

You may feel things you've never felt before and thats okay. 
The period between childhood and young adulthood is a period of rapid change – physical, emotional, cognitive and social. During this time the body change in different ways at different times. 


Physical changes during adolescence

For girls, you might start to see early physical changes from about 10 or 11 years, but they might start as young as 8 years or as old as 13 years. Physical changes around puberty include:
  • breast development
  • changes in body shape and height
  • growth of pubic and body hair
  • the start of periods (menstruation).
For boys, physical changes usually start around 11 or 12 years, but they might start as young as 9 years or as old as 14 years. Physical changes include:
  • growth of the penis and testes (testicles)
  • changes in body shape and height
  • erections with ejaculation(wet dreams)
  • growth of body and facial hair
  • changes to voice.
