Another observation is that Stalin has his hand in his pocket almost as if he is hiding something.
3. A final observation is that the crowd looks oblivious to what is happening, they all are just there smiling not paying attention to the control Joseph Stalin has on them.
I believe the poster is trying to make the Russian's think that Joseph Stalin is there "God". Seeing how he is proportioned on the poster it seems like they are trying to make it seem like he is bigger and better. Also instead of having the crowd filled with terror they are all smiling and the Russians are probably supposed to think Stalin will make them happy.

Stalin took full control over farms and people lost their jobs as collective farming developed. Farmers were kicked off their lands and forced to work with others while selling their crops for terribly low prices. Stalin started this to reduce paying farmers and peasants for the food they produced. The consequence of this was either being killed by Stalin or starvation. Stalin made the industry flourish at the price of the death of many.

Stalin's Great Purges were when he went on a killing spree to make sure all of his opponents or those who opposed his rule were either dead or sent to labor camps. This took place between 1934-1939. One of worst acts happened in 1934 when Sergey Kirov was assassinated. Stalin used this to further his act of Terror. Stalin ended up sending thousands of people to jail and those thousands were his opponents. He sent them to jail because he believed they played a part in the assassination of his rival Sergey Kirov. 10 million peoples deaths lie on the hands of Joseph Stalin whether they died in the boot camp he sent them to or he killed them himself.
