There are two main benefits of taking a gap year. Firstly, you can gain some more experience. In a period of a year, you can get a job or travel, this will help you gain some interesting experience, you can also learn many skills such as communication skills, life skills… Secondly, you can have a break from hard-working days. After years of study, take a year to enjoy the environment outside of school. You can spend time on your passion, or take the time to try different things to find your strengths.             On the other hand, there are also some drawbacks.  Firstly, you may lose knowledge that you have been taught. When you are fully committed to what you do in the gap year, you can forget many areas of knowledge, because knowledge requires constant practice. Secondly, when you spend a whole year working or traveling, you may fall behind your peers. So before deciding whether to take a gap year or not, prepare as much as possible to avoid the possibility that you won't be able to fit in with your peers because you don't enroll at the same time as them.                          In conclusion, gap year can bring both advantages and disadvantages.  However, I think gaining experience during your youth worths very much.
