Honestly, i enjoyed this book way more than I thought I would. Even though the genre is one of my favorites, which is science fiction, I still got a little bored at one point. In the beginning of the book I struggled to even read it because it was just so boring but I did bring myself to keep reading. After I got past that part everything just began to flow and I couldn't put the book down. It always left you on some sort of cliff hanger and I hated it but I loved it because that's what made me want to keep reading.

The cover of the book shows the eye the genetically mutated experiment called Nine, aka the Chupacabra. At one point in the book Marty looks into the vent and comes face to face with Nine and all he can see is his eyes piercing through the darkness.

3 of the best quotes

(Pg.38) "The person who controls the food controls the animal." I found this quote interesting because I think it's controversial. Take a mother and her child for instance, the child will whine till it gets their food which will make the mother give them the food so they can be quiet.
(Pg.75) "Duh du jour." I frankly found this quote interesting because I didn't know what it meant. I looked it up and it means "duh of the day" which now makes sense because they always had it after someone asked a dumb question.
(Pg.182) "Grace let him go and wiped her tears away." I know it's cheesy but when I read this it made me smile because she hasn't Marty in so long and they really missed each other and despite the fact that they were in a terrible situation at the moment they were still happy.

I recommend this book to anyone that enjoys science fiction. This book is one of those that leave you in suspense when you don't wan to be. But that's what makes it way better to read, it gets to the point where you don't want to put it down. You might just even walk into a pole just because you can't put it down. The only downside is that if you can't push yourself to read you probably wont get past the introduction.

Keep It Undercover- Zendaya

Zendaya also says "Know I'm the realest, baby I'm fearless" and this relates to the book because Butch tried to shoot Grace at one point but she kept her cool.
