      <title>Period 7 Topic/Theme Connections across genres by Michelle Alonzo</title>
      <link>https://padlet.com/michelle_alonzo/pmvi3l7sxiz45b9k</link>
<description>For this assignment we will be working together as a class to brainstorm how the literary pieces we have been reading over the last week can connect through a list of six different topics. Since we are learning the different characteristics of various genres in literature (like primary sources, poems, short stories, drama, etc.) we will also be thinking about how these different genres can be used to express important ideas differently about the same topic or theme.

Today, as a class, we will brainstorm together in a shared PADLET and explain how the literary pieces we have read can connect to one of the following six topics. Each column below lists a different topic. Your task is to add a comment under the topic you think best connects to Chief Joseph&#39;s Speech and then a comment about which topic best connects to Edward&#39;s sermon &quot;Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God&quot;.
In your comment box, type the story name and why you think it best connects to the topic column selected. You must complete a comment box for both stories. </description>
