i think leaders should make changes to there equipment and it is not fair to the one who have disabilities because some of the people who have disabilities have to be in wheel chairs. An example from the text would be ¨singal aputees often race against double aputees¨ and they both have different equipment. This demenstrates, that people who don´t have disabilities and the people who don´t do not have the same equipment. To sum things up, this shows that the athletes should have the same equipment.

The article states, " Some fear that their use is unfair to athletes from less wealthy countries. " This proves people who live in not wealthy countries cant afford the equipment as people in wealthy counties can and that's unfair to the people who cant afford it. In conclusion, People say equipment rules for the Paralympic Games are not fair.

___________________________________Do you think leaders should make changes?

I think leaders should make changes. The article states, "Some fear that their use is unfair to athletes from less wealthy countries." This shows that if leaders don't change rules so everyone or no one has equipment or if they don't make the equipment cheaper so everyone can afford it than the rules will be unfair to people who cant afford it. To conclude, I think leaders should make changes.

I think some people say that the equipment rules are not fair. In the article What's Fair in Sports? it says" Some athletes were in running events. They used running blades. This technology is good. In fact, it has gotten better over the years. Some said that runners with two prosthetics had an advantage. They could run faster than athletes with only one. This explains that some people do not like that other people get technology to help them in the games. In the article What's Fair in Sports it says"Paralympic leaders disagree. They say technology helps. But training for athletes with disabilities is also improving. And that's making a big difference. This shows that technology helps the peoople in the race. All in all, I think some people say that the equipment rules are not fair.

I think learders should not make changes. In my own words, they should not change the rules because the people who need that technology can't play with out it. This shows that, people should not change the rules just because someone is different and they need that stuff to live. Also they should not change the rules because alot of people need that technology to help them. This proves that, even if it helps the peole in the games the should not change the rules. To sum it up,I think learders should not make changes.

One reason some people say the equipment rules for the Paralympic Games are not fair is because the double amputees are faster than the single amputees. for example "If things progress and we're kept together, there aren't going to be any unilateral amputees running because we won't have a chance." Proves that it won't be fair if the double amputees keep racing the single amputees because the double amputees are faster. As you can see one reason some people say the equipment rules for the Paralympic Games are not fair is because the double amputees are faster than the single amputees.

Some people say the equipment rules for the Paralympic Games are not fair because people are using technology to get better at their sport. As it says in the article "Now, double amputees have an advantage over single amputees, said U.S. sprinter David Prince"this proves that they say the use of technology hurts some people who just have one leg verses others who are missing both legs . Another reason is "Other concerns have been raised about the technologies as well. Some fear that their use is unfair to athletes from less wealthy countries. The equipment can be very expensive". This proves that people complain that it's not fair for people to have different equipment because they cost more in different countries

I think the leaders should make some changes beacuse it is not fair to people that cant have certin equipment in different countries because they dont have enough money to afford them. One sourse from the article is "Some say that athletes using assistive technology end up benefiting." this quote proves that some cant afford the new technology like others can. Another quote is "Prince says he is concerned that far fewer single amputees will compete in events in the next four years." This quote proves that it is that people wont really compete because they think it is unfair. to sum it up I think that hey should change the rules because I think that it is unfair.

Some people say that the equipment rules for the Paralymic Games are not fair because some athletes are using better technology than others, which may give them an unfair advantage in competition. I believe that the leaders should make changes to the rules so that every athlete has a fair chance at winning. As explained in the text, advancements in technology have lead to improved equipment for Paralympic athletes. However, this equipment can be extremely expensive, not all athletes can afford to purchase these items, and current equipment rules do not control what equipment can or cannot be used. This proves, that the current equipment rules can result in an unfair gap between the abilities of the athletes.

In addition, athletes themselves are experiencing the emotional effects of the current equipment rules. "Now, double amputees have an advantage over single amputees, said U.S. sprinter David Prince...'Last year and this year were really hard for me to stay [driven to] continue training, Prince said. I go into the race knowing that [double amputees] run faster times…. I know I'll get beat'." This proves that if current equipment rules are not changed, some athletes might find it hard to want to stay in the Paralymic Games. If many athletes in the games decide to quit, it would make less people want to join. As you can see, the current equipment rules for the Paralymic Games are not fair.

Some say the equipment rules for the Paralympic Games are not fair, and I agree with these people. According to the text, "Some fear that their use is unfair to athletes from less wealthy countries.". This proves that this equipment can be expensive to some people, although we have the money. When we have this money, and the others do not, we are most likely to buy it. Then, when we compete against the others, we have the benifit while they do not, and this is unfair. The author states "But the rapid pace of development is changing Paralympic sports. Better technology can create a gap between athletes. Some say that when athletes compete within the same division, those using assistive technology end up benefiting.". This quote proves that the people who do have the equipment end up having the advantages. This is not fair because some people do not have these advantages. To sum it all up, some say the equipment rules for the Paralympic Games are not fair, and I agree with these people.

They fear that some athletes, such as single amputees, will be left behind."this shows that the single amputtes are going to feel like thier slower. the second reason is that the wheelchair people are not even doing anything but sitting because thier being controlled by other people. in the article it says "technology has improved this equipment, such as wheelchairs." this shows wheelchairs use technology. to sum it up this is not fair.

Some people think that the equipment rules for the Paralympic are unfair. I think that leaders should make changes because if some competitors are using more advanced technology, then they will have higher chances of winning. This will not be fair to other competitors. I think each member should have the same technology. Also, the point of the Paralympics is to get active even if you have disabilities and if some competitors have more being done for them it is unfair. I agree that they need technology but, all competitors should have the same technology. For more information, the author of this article wrote "Other concerns have been raised about the technologies as well. Some fear that their use is unfair to athletes from less wealthy countries." In this case, it is not fair because the Paralympics have many countries participating. It will be difficult for poor countries to buy advanced technology. Having the same technology might help them to afford it. As you can see, if the leaders change the rules a little bit for the Paralympics it would be fair for all the competitors.
