We partner with community groups or businesses' we want to support. We ask them to sell tickets for a Park Event, that we host. The community group can keep half of the profits from the tickets. PC keeps the other half. If people want to get a ticket, but can't pay, they can come out and volunteer with us. We can start small with cheap tickets, example chili and Muir Beach. If the model grows we can make bigger events for more people: A "Silent dance party" at Ocean Beach for California Coatal Clean up Day. People can pay for a ticket or come and clean up the beach. Community partners who sell tickets can get a cut of the profit. We are supporting community groups and getting work done. We have to staff to apply for the permits and host the events. We will not cover all of our costs, but it is a great way to build partnerships with social justice communities. We can partner with Fundraising, Development, Outreach and Volunteer Management.

NPS land managers like Michael Chasse, Erik Grivalja, Darron Fong, Carolyn Shoulders, Tracy Neal need our help. There is more work then they can possibly do, and more volunteers then they can possibly manage. Lets create volunteer "contracts" with them. Once a year we meat with NPS partner and outline large scale yearly goals such as "Manage Weeds at Lands End". The NPS partner who signs the contract is our NPS point of contact. They can sign off on all of our VIP paper work, and we can run programs "under them". We can use these contracts so that we can still run community programs in our parks and have access to the natural resources.

Our strength in community programs, field trips, and webinars is in the fact that we understand GGNRA better then other organizations. We are involved in the land management and resource conservation. People want to hear me talk, because I can explain the work and the natural resources better then other people. I am afraid that if we don't keep our foot in the natural resource management realm, then people will not want to work with us. Why would they come to hear a talk, or ask us to speak? How will our volunteer work be meaningful if it isn't strongly connected to GGNRA land management goals?

A lot of these activities require us to make stands, that the PC hasn't done in the past. What commitment does the PC have to actually do this work. For example. Non profits can be involved in political lobbying, as well and contribute funding for political reason. (They just have a % of money that they can spend on this) Also can we stand with the Green New Deal? We have had PC people go to State Government to talk to fight or the Tunnel Top, why can't we do this about other projects.

(Thinking crash courses offered on climate communication, education etc.) and spend time internally building programming of various kinds. Climate migration is one example. 2. Can parks partner/ collaborate with orgs already ahead of the curve on climate change work. 3. Can we partner with City of Sf more closely on their climate action plan currently seeking public feedback? Anyone from the parks already involved and attending meetings? 4. The State Coastal Conservancy’s Climate Ready Program offers some good insights. 5. Park Stewardship positions as Climate Stewards of the Parks.
