Due to the client's needle phobia they only injected their insulin in the upper left & right quadrant of abdomen and caused lipos (lipohypertrophy - fat accumulation in subcut layer) - due to this the insulin was being inadequately absorbed into their bloodstream resulting in more insulin needing to be injected to receive a therapeutic effect.
