While his life was short, the effects of him were long lived. When he was 16 in 1941, he was listening to an illegal German broadcast and heard about the horrors they were commiting. Determined to do good, he printed illegal leaflets that told of the Nazi's wrongdoings and hid them around, in pockets, phonebooths, anywhere where a person was sure to find it. But he was turned in by his coworker who saw him writing the leaflet and thrown into prison where he was tortured for a month.


Then came his execution day, he was executed on October 27th, 1942, in Hamburg, Germany by being beheaded. His last words were "I have to do for no crime at all. Your turn is next!"
