For me, it’s about connection. When I tell them something I’ve experienced, it helps them see me as a real person, as a teacher and they come closer, asking questions and showing interest. They’ll also respond with their own stories which is a nice way to build a trust bond.

This book is about Inuit traditional items you can use such as a women’s knife, mitts, Inuit drum, snow knife to build an igloo, and boots. All these are something big to us Inuit.

Ulu - cut meat, thread/sinew, skins for clothing and everything else that needs cutting.
