According to Simon Sinek’s speech, he has illustrated a Golden Cycle which talks about a company should working starts with Why, What, and then How rather than starts with How, What, and Why (for more information, please check the following video). He believed that “the goal is not to do business with everybody who needs what you have. The goal is to do business with people who believe what you believe (TED, 2010).” In my opinion, employees or team members are same as customers. The ability is never a talent for a successful leader. Not only for the leadership skills, but also the profession I need to work on. In the future hospitality industry, I believe that it will be more globalized. Therefore, understanding multi-cultures are extremely important for communication with people from different places. In the next two years, I plan to continuously develop my knowledge and skills by completing a master program as well as learning more languages.
