         <description><![CDATA[<div>on Thursday 7th august 1930 in Marion, Indiana, three black boys were lynched. Thomas Shipp (18), Abram Smith (19) and James Cameron (16).&nbsp;<br><br>They were accused of rape and murder.&nbsp; The white mob beat and hung them with a sledgehammer.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>in 1946, on the 8th of November, in New Glasgow. Viola Desmond was arrested and charged for not paying a $0.01 difference at a movie theatre. She was forcefully removed from the theatre.&nbsp;<br><br>in December of 2016. The bank of Canada launched a new banknote with Viola Desmond, this was also special because this was the first banknote that was vertical.</div>]]></description>

The white teenager in the back of this pictures name is Hazel Bryan, she is the reason that this pictures name is “the Scream”. She is screaming at Elizabeth Eckford.<br><br>This event is important to black history because it abolished segregation in schools so everyone had an equal chance at education.</div>]]></description>
