Article 1
Tucker, Anita L. "Operational Failures and Interruptions in Hospital Nursing." Health Services Research. Blackwell Science Inc, June 2006. Web. 23 Jan. 2017.

Article 2
Hooks, Robin. "Developing Nursing Care Plans." Nursing Standard (2014+) 30.45 (2016): 64. ProQuest. Web. 23 Jan. 2017.

The nursing discourse community is the community I did research on. In the first article I got an idea of some things that cause problems during nursing shifts. In the article it talked about how often nurses were interrupted during their shifts. The leading cause of failures are medications, orders, supplies, staffing, and equipment. This helps give me an idea of some problems I may run into during my job. The second article I looked at gave me an idea of nursing planning. When planning for how to take care of patients, nurses go through a process. The article helps to give me an inside look on processes and preparations I may have to go through. The key words I searched were "nursing", "hospital", and "care".
