Narrative structure

Part of my research I decided to look into narrative form because I wanted to get a better understanding on how to tell a story in a film and also how I can use narrative form to help me build up tension in my story. I found out that narrative form is the structure through which the film tells the story a couple examples of where narrative form is used is in, novels, plays, films and much more.

Narrative form usually consist of an account of stringed events that unfold during the films but not randomly, but rather as an ordered series of events connected by the logic of cause and effect. The narrative structure that they follow starts with exposition meaning meeting characters and establishing the setting, second is rising action which is the central conflict that is introduced, third is the climax this is when the dramatic question is answered, fourth is the falling action this is aftermath of the climax and finally the denouement this is the ending part of the film.
