On June 28, 1969, in a bar in New York called "Stonewall Inn", attended by Hispanics, African-Americans, homosexuals, lesbians, trans and drag queens, the police carried out one of the many razzias that they used to carry out, covered in American laws that prohibit everything from expressions considered homosexual to wearing clothes of the opposite sex. In exchange for bribes, the New York police warned the owners of the bars when they would intervene. That night, without warning and dressed in uniforms, the police began to chase all the people who had no identification history. The outrage and anger accumulated over these abuses of power was such that gays, lesbians and trans people refused to be detained. A crowd, who learned that "Stonewall Inn" was being evicted, crowded in the vicinity of the bar. In the face of the arbitrary beatings and arrests by the police, the crowd responded with insults, stones, and runs to the cry of "gay power".
