All about the sun

To start things off, The sun is technically our life saver so with out the sun we would pass away. If the sun was even red we would die. Red stars are old stars they have been around for billions of years and yellow stars have been around for several billions of years and the blue stars are the hottest and the youngest. If you did not know the sun is a star and it looks huge but it is a average size star . All of our planets revolve around the sun so that means they spin around the sun even our earth. The sun's center temperature is about 27° if we touched the sun we would most likely die. The sun is a huge ball of gas that is super hot if Mercury was closer it would probably burn so we would only 7 planets so Mercury should not move at all.So to end it right there people would not have electricity from the solar power and we would not be able to see each other and we would not be able to live because the trees would not give us oxygen. So I hope you like the sun now. The sun is the center and the closest star the people rely on.

To kick things off, asteroids are rocky objects that orbit the sun. Asteroids are not that big, they're no bigger than a dwarf planet. Most asteroids are in the space between mars and Jupiter. Because it is filled with tens of thousands of asteroids, this area is called the asteroid belt. Asteroids range in size from 100km across to as small as a grain of sand. About 200 asteroids in the asteroid belt are more than 97km wide. Some asteroids travel outside of the main asteroid belt. Scientist think some of these asteroids broke away from the asteroid belt. Some scientist suggest asteroids are formed from pieces of lost planets.

In our giant Milky Way Galaxy it contains lots of different things. In our galaxy there are comets, asteroids, planets, stars, and moons. Every planet in our solar system orbits a star and every single moon orbits a planet. Planets in our galaxy are made of rocky material or are made of gasses. Stars in our galaxy are hot balls of burning fire that gives of heat and light. Moons are also mostly made rocky material similar to some planets. Asteroids are made of giant chunks of metal and rock. Lastly comets are made of small chunks of dirt and ice with a trail of dirt and ice. To wrap things up, a galaxy contains lots of different types of solar systems. That is what makes up galaxies.

The four outer planets in our solar system are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. All of the outer planets in our solar system are made of gasses with a rocky core. The outer planets have tons of moons and every single on has more than 16 moons. The thing that separates the inner and outer planets is the asteroid belt where most asteroids come from. The outer planets are all bigger than all of the inner planets. The 5th planet and the largest planet Jupiter has at least 62 moons more than any other planet and has a freezing temperature of -145 degrees Celsius. Jupiter is so big it can fit 1,324 earths inside of this planet but it has no solid surfaces with multiple rings. The sixth planet and the 2nd biggest planet in our solar system Saturn is known for its gigantic rings. Saturn has winds that can get all the way up to 160 feet per second and has at least 60 moons. The seventh and 3rd largest planet in our solar system Uranus has a unbelievable temperature of -216 degrees Celsius. Uranus has a atmosphere made mostly of hydrogen and helium gasses and this planet Uranus is tilted. Neptune is the last planet and the 4th largest in our solar system and has at least 13 moons. Neptune has the highest wind speeds at a speeding 1,800 feet per second and this planet has a temperature of -214 degrees Celsius. That is all about the outer planets.

These planets are all rocky and the Earth is a inner planet and it is the third from the sun.The outer planets are made of gas.The inner planets are much smaller than the outer planets the outer planets hold the largest planet in our solar system. Our last inner planet is mars.Earth is the largest inner planet and the smallest inner planet is Mercury. Mercury is also the smallest planet in the solar system. All of the inner planets are Mercury,Venus,Earth, and Mars. Mars is our last inner planet and the inner and outer planets are separated by a asteroid belt.

Why Pluto is not a planet?

To start things off, the first reason why Pluto is not a planet is that it is smaller than many of the other planets. It is so small that it is two thirds the size of our moon. Some astronomers say that Pluto is no more than those icy chunks.Moving right along, Pluto also has a strange tilt and travels in a odd orbit. In 2006, an international meeting of scientist changed the definition of Pluto from a planet to a dwarf planet. Next, Pluto has a thin atmosphere, mostly of methane gas.To add on Pluto is also very cold.If you could stand on Pluto surface, the sun would look extremely dim and small because it is so far away.Another reason is that its orbit crosses inside Neptune path which one day they might crash. Pluto's moon Charon is almost the same size as Pluto. Pluto is found in a region of the solar system called the kuiper belt. Some of the icy chunks just beyond Neptune are half the size of Pluto. And now i hope you know why Pluto is not a planet!!!

To start things off, moon are giant rocky material objects in space that orbit planets.Earths moon's name is Luna is earths only natural satellite.Moons also have no strict definition of what they are. Moons are also called satellites sometimes. The largest moon in our solar system is Ganymede that orbits Jupiter which has 72 moons and the second biggest moon is the Titan that orbits Saturn. Most people think the a moon is spherical but actually its like a small irregular asteroid. All moons come in different shapes and sizes. Some planets don't have moons and some planets have 72 moons. Some moons are very unique, for example the moon Titan is the only other body in space known that has water and it even has an atmosphere.

Comets are small chunks of dirt and ice that has a tail of dirt. The most famous comet is Halley and it comes around every 75-76 years and they think it is bad luck to see it with your naked eye. All comets glow because of the sun's radiation on them.Next ,Comets leave behind a trail of rocky dust known as a shooting star. Furthermore, all comets have an irregular shape and if they were spherical than they would be considered a moon.To keep things moving, Comets orbit the sun in an area beyond Neptune called the kupier belt. These comets have no atmosphere and they will sometimes plunge into planets. .Every year , earth passes through the remains of at least 12 comets. To recap all of my thoughts comets are amazing objects in solar system.
