Another example are solar powered lights. Radiant energy emitted by the sun enters solar panels where it is converted into electrical energy. Finally, it reaches the lamp and is converted into radiant energy once more.</p>]]></description>

The thermal energy from the lighter ignites the candle stick, and on the molecular level, some of the lighter thermal energy is being transmitted to the candle.</p>]]></description>

Sound energy, for example, is carried by sound waves, which can move through all types of matter, though that can muffle the sound. Or, as in the picture above, chemical energy is being transferred throughout the human's body to give her strength to power the bike. It then becomes mechanical energy that flows through the object that it is propelling. After that, it turns into electrical energy that is carried by electrons, which can be channeled using conductive metals. On the final step of the journey, the energy is now radiant energy, which can be carried by visible light, as well as any other wave in the electro-magnetic system.</p>]]></description>
