Nature by Ralph Waldo Emerson
"The flowers, the animals, the mountains, reflected the wisdom of his best hour, as much as they had delighted the simplicity of his childhood."

Blake Shelton- God's Country (2019)
This musical example features Blake Shelton in his song, "God's Country." This song mentions how everywhere in nature is owned by God, and that nothing matters except him.

How the quote and the example relate:
In this song we are introduced to nature and the land being ruled by God. The same goes for the poem "from Nature" by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Throughout both of them the importance of nature is clearly established, and they are both related to God in some way. For example, in the song it says, "Dixie whistled in the wind, it will get you Heaven bound." This creating the idea that nature and faith is the key to get into Heaven. Relating to this quote, the poem states, "In the woods, we return to reason and faith."

How the example directly relates to the tenant:
In conclusion, both of these forms relate to the Value of Nature because it is sayings it's powerful thing and can greatly influence our lives in spiritual ways. They both directly mention nature and why it is important.

Self Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Trust thyself: every heart vibrates to that iron string."

The Bachelorette (2019)
The Bachelorette is a very popular TV show. It consists of one girl trying to find her husband between 20+ guys. Every episode she carefully chooses which men she wants to stay longer, and which one's she doesn't have a connection with.

How the quote and the example relate:
The Bachelorette and this quote relate because they both deal with trusting yourself and your decisions. Throughout the show she has to make many decisions. Also, in the quote it is mentioning a heart, which symbolizes love, just like in the show.

How the example directly relates to the tenant:
The Bachelorette corresponds with "Intuition Over Reason" because they both have to deal with trusting your gut. She has to make many hard decisions, but the Bachelorette goes with her gut feeling and that is how she chooses who stays and who goes.

Self Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Society everywhere is in conspiracy against the manhood of every one of its members."

Another Cinderella Story (2008)
Another Cinderella Story is a movie featuring Selena Gomez. She has a passion for dancing, and is a very hard worker, but it feels like she has the world against her. During the next year of High School she has the opportunity to try out for her dream dance school.

How the quote and the example relate:
This movie and the quote have common characteristics because they both deal with society being against everyone. Her step mother doesn't want her to succeed, and in the quote it talks about society being against people.

How the example directly relates to the tenant:
Self reliance relates to this movie because she is strictly working on her self and working to become a better dancer. If she didn't have her self motivation she wouldn't be able to even have the chance to tryout for her dream dance school.

Self Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Whoso would be a man must be a nonconformist."

Brittany Spears shaving her head (2007)
When Brittany Spears shaved her head it was a very iconic moment. It was completely against the norm during this time. She did this because she was going through a lot of tough stuff and it helped her.

How the quote and the example relate:
This action and the quote relate because they are both about stepping outside your confort zone and doing something out of the norm. Not just confining to what society says you can and can't do will make you stronger in the end. This is exactly what these two pieces are saying.

How the example directly relates to the tenant:
When Brittany Spears shaved her head she directly connected with non-conformity because she did exactly opposite of what "normal" was during this time. She didn't want to be exactly like everyone else, she wanted to be different.

He goes and saves the princess from a tower and they end up falling in love. This completely changes his life for forever.

How the quote and the example relate:
Shrek his happy with the house he lives in because he put as much work into it as he could. This is exactly what the quote is saying. Shrek doesn't have a lot, but he doesn't let that change his outlook on life.

How the example directly relates to the tenant:
Shrek is the definition of simplified living. He lives right by a swamp, and in an old shack out in the woods. He doesn't have a whole lot, which is exactly what simplified living is.
