When People think about Poland, they think about the Second World War, which had destroyed a lot in the country. Some People think of the concentration camp in Auschwitz or they think of the old historical buildings. Most of the people do not know, what more interesting facts Poland has. 

Poland is a parliamentary republic in Central Europe. The Capital of Poland is Warsaw. The number of inhabitants is around 38. Million. The Currency is Poland is in 16 voivodeship separated, it is a polish administrative district. Since 1308 is the kingdom Poland in voivodship separated. Poland was a long time in a fight for its Independence. Since 1918, the eleventh of November it has its Independence again. 

Most of the people speak polish, the minority speaks other languages, for example german or the Slavonian language. It is written with the latin alphabet. 

Polish traditions and the polish culture is a great thing in Poland. It is relating to the Christian faith. It is very popular to go to church on Sunday. The Majority is catholic. The polish people like to celebrate holidays like eastern, Christmas. Even the name day will be celebrated. One of the most important Holiday is the Independence Day on the eleventh of November. Also important Holidays are the international Women day on the eighth of March and on Mothersday, the twenty-sixth of May. On these days there are a lot of events. 

When you visit Poland, there are a lot of rules you have to know. First of all, Men in Poland are very polite and gentle, so do not be shocked when a man gives you a kiss on the hand, because that is how they show their respect and good behavior. When you visit someone in their home you have to bring some flowers, wine or chocolate as a present. Do not forget to take the shoes off, before you enter the House. Besides, it is okay to not be on time, it is normal to come around 15 Minutes later. Furthermore there is one big rule, to not speak in a bad way about the Catholic Church and the religion, especially about the pope.

7.    A polish engineer (Ignacy Lukasiewicz) invented the modern kerosene lamp, the first modern street lamp in Europe. 

8.    Poland has on June the 21^st its own version of Valentine’s Day. Women hope for wreaths and candles, which are floating on a river from one side to the other. If one candle comes to you, you will be lucky in love. 

9.    Polish history is very complicated. Poland has fought for freedom over 40 times. It even disappeared from world maps between 1772 and 1792. 

10.  The Name Poland (Polska) means “People living in open fields”. 

The Kindergarten is in groups separated. Children at the age of 3 to 5 are in one group, and a group with children at the age of 6. In the morning, all children are in one group till 7:30. 

The parents do not have to pay for the care from 8 to 1 o clock. After that time, the parents have to pay for one more hour 1 Euro. The Parents have to pay for the Meals every day 2 Euro. The Children have breakfast, a second breakfast and Lunch. The Meals are prepared on plates for the children. 

For the Meals is an extra cook. The nursery nurse do not need to cook, to make the laundry or to clean. 

There are also learing opportunities in English, Art, Religion and dance. The Parents do not have to pay for that and it is in the daily and weekly plan for the children. The parents have the opportunity to let their child join for therapy with animals, like dogs, cats or guinea pig. Also the children can join a musical club, they learn to play an instrument. Every Child has a book and paper sheets with exercises. In this way, the children get prepared for the school. They do not have much freetime to play. The nursery nurses plan the days for the children. The learning aspect is focused. There is not much space for participation or playtime. The Children do not have often the opportunity to decide for themselves what they want to do. For example after the Lunch, every children has to have a break, to sleep or relax on a carpet, they cannot decide. The nursery nurses are more like teachers, and they have to study at a university in Poland for 5 years to work in a kindergarten. 

Twice time a year, the parents have a talk about the development of their child. 

Warsaw, the capital of Poland was rebuilt from the ground up after the second world war. The dynamic business district prides itself on numerous skyscrapers and ambitious construction plans for many new imposing buildings. 

Cracow is also worth to see it on a sightseeing tour. The former capital of Poland is one of the most importants sights in Europe. It has a magical atmosphere and a unique architecture. In Cracow are medieval cathedrals, a renaissance castle, baroque churches, Art Nouveau theater and many other monuments to see. 

Also a historical place to see on a sightseeing tour in Poland is Auschwirtz. The small town of Oswiecim, better known by the german name Auschwitz, witnessed the greatest crime against humanity. During the second world war, this largest Nazi extermination camp killed around 1,5 million people. It can be visit for exhibition, which makes you think about history the humanity.
