"Et tu, Brute?"

In the Aladdin film, a hand comes from a book and tries to stab the Genie while he's wearing a toga. The Genie has a look of shock and says the quote. This is a direct reference to Shakespeare's work.

In this episode of "Bewitched", a witch accidentally produces Julius Caesar instead of a Caesar salad. During his time there, he learns he is well-known for being a dictator, which is a great surprise to him. In reference to Shakespeare's work, this idea aligns with who Caesar thought he was: a consistent, constant ruler, operating in the best interest.

The title is believed to be perceived as ironic. Two lovers believe they can choose their own paths of destiny. However, destiny chooses its own path for them. This idea comes from the famous quote of Cassius when trying to convince Brutus of their state and the choices they could make.
