When positioned correctly, it lights up a side of the subject that doesn't have the light it needs to be congruent to the other side. This is because the sun only hit one side of the face. It was very easy to accidentally flash someone in the eyes and blind them for a split second. I adored the background we use because I immediately called dips on it. This is because the natural light brought out the natural beauty of the model more than the studio lighting, from my perspective. There is so much more you can do with natural light, like changing the color and shading of it with just a reflector. Light brings out the structure and form of the person and it also emphasizes them. With my future photographs, I will remember that the location of the sun, because I know prefer outside portraits, is the most important aspect of taking photos of people.
