Oklahoma City was a place where multiple reservations were at. Oklahoma was where the Nez Perce tribe had to move away from because General Oliver Howard decided it would be better for them to travel extra miles on foot since the Nez Perce were late on moving. Joseph demanded that the Nez Perce we originally supposed to travel safely to a reservation in Idaho, but Sherman threw a fit about it so they had to do what he wanted. Oklahoma was a place where they said what ever tribe got there first that could be their new reservation. That is why all the native Americans, and the indians all rushed there to try and get Oklahoma City as their own reservation. This is Oklahoma City.

Promontory point, Utah was the the Place. This was the place were both Union Pacific, and central pacific met after they were racing to this point. They met after they connected the railroad and started cheering. They had drinks and partied there. Leland Stanford and Thomas Durant both took turns driving the last little bit of the railroad and ended up at Promontory point, in Utah. They both missed the spot because of how drunk they were, but just about everyone was drunk that day because they were all trying to have fun and celebrate because of what they did. They all celebrated because of all the harsh things they went through.

Wagons were used for traveling to places far away. They used them for holding people and their belongings so they did not have to walk and leave a lot of their belongings behind. They used these for the Oregon trail so they could travel way faster. During the Oregon trail many people died from suffering by weather or starvation. They mostly died because of the harsh weather, including 60 feet of snow and up to the 100s in the summer. The wagons were great for the people because when they traveled they didn't have to walk but they could also trade off for the rains of the oxen so more people could sleep.

Oxen. These animals were used for traveling. They were hooked up to the rains of the wagon and used them to pull it. The oxen helped them travel to long distance places to make it easier on the people. These animals were very strong and had a lot of strength. These were also a food source for the people if they did not have enough food on the trips that they traveled they would kill one of the oxen and leave the others to pull the wagons.
