   🔮 Future Think Tank: Creating AI Codes of Conduct

   Subjects: Interdisciplinary (culminating task)
   Objective: Develop personal and global responsibilities for ethical AI use in education.

   🧠 Activity Overview:

   Each group becomes an AI Ethics “Think Tank” with a mission:
   👉 Create a student-centered AI Code of Conduct for schools.

   🛠️ Step-by-Step Instructions:

   ✅ Step 1: Brainstorm Concepts

   • As a group, identify key principles or short terms/concepts that your code of conduct will be built around.

   • Keep them simple, powerful, and student-friendly.

   • Example terms:

     • "Think First, Then Ask AI"

     • "AI for Help, Not for Homework"

     • "Privacy is Power"

     • "Your Brain Comes First"

     • "Cite the Bot"

   🗣️ Step 2: Class Concept Pitch

   • Each group presents their chosen terms to the class.

   • Classmates vote or give thumbs-up to their favorite concepts across all groups.

   🤖 Step 3: AI as Policy Co-Writer

   • Use the approved or most popular concepts to ask an AI to generate a draft policy.

   • Students will then revise or personalize the policy to reflect school values and their own voice.

   💬 Example Prompts Students Can Use to Generate a Policy:

   1. "Write a school AI use policy based on these values: ‘______________________'."

   2. "Create a student-friendly AI code of conduct using these concepts: '______________________'."

   3. "Draft a school AI policy that encourages ethical AI use, respects privacy, and keeps human thinking at the center. Use these terms: ‘__________________________________'."

   👥 Step 4: Presentation & Feedback

   • Present the final AI Code of Conduct (with both AI-generated content and student edits) to a feedback panel—include teachers, peers, or even parents.

   • Reflect on how your ideas changed after using AI—and how you stayed in charge of the thinking.

   
   

• Students are encouraged to use AI tools for learning, research, and idea generation.

• AI should only supplement your understanding, creativity, and critical thinking.

• The final work must reflect the student’s own effort and knowledge.

• AI cannot be used to complete assignments, exams, or projects on behalf of the student.

• Plagiarism or misrepresentation of work using AI will be considered academic dishonesty.
