Important for K-5 students to have fun mixed with learning (not necessarily skill & drill and more of a let them play the activity; build relationships). Program growth can include more skills/drills as students are engaged in the program. Weekend programs (Saturday) rather than after school. Parents were involved in coaching teams. Teams were co-ed. YMCA and BGC are already in our elem schools for after school programming.
