You have already made note cards with the vocabulary words on them. They will pick one at random. They will go around the group and use the word in a sentence. Each student must say a new sentence. Whenever they cannot think of any more sentences, they pick a new word and go around again. This continues until they’ve talked about all of the words.

If it is a difficult word, at least provide a picture that shows the word. These cards would be posted on our word wall. Then, have the students draw a picture of the word.
Example: The word “I” could have arms with thumbs pointing back at it. The kids could draw a picture of themselves.
Another example: The "p" in "jump" is jumping.
