The website informs that the light bulbs helped establish a need for large central stations, beginning with Niagara Falls.
The website for study the evolution of light bulbs informs that over the course of the next half century two especially significant social effects became clear. “We gained control over light in homes and offices, independent of the time of day.” Heather Bliss said. Therefore, the electric light brought networks of wires into homes and offices, making it relatively easy to add appliances and other machines. As an example he states, they reflected by FDR's statement and let low cost lighting and nationwide electrification became fundamental parts of twentieth century America. http://americanhistory.si.edu/lighting/19thcent/consq19.htm
According to the research, first invented by Thomas Edison in 1879, the light bulb ushered in a new era of society. For a long history, these changes began on U.S. soil and later expanded to include a significant portion of the world. Although many inventors had experimented with incandescent light bulbs prior to 1879, it was Edison's version that became the first widely distributed model.
https://www.reference.com/history/did-light-bulb-change-world-674f0957107c4c65

The use of the new technology that time, which are the light bulbs effected building architecture as daylight became only a supplemental source of light. Electricity for lights, elevators, and pumps allowed architects to design "skyscrapers" of unprecedented height. The "windowless building" was also an architectural design option by the 1930s. The availability of more powerful light bulbs made controlling the light they emitted a necessity. Nevertheless, Fixture makers combined both art and science in electrical luminaires that provided optical control and fashionable design. For instance, A Danish immigrant, Frode Rambusch, started a business in New York in the 1890s designing murals and stained glass windows for public buildings. He soon expanded activities to make special lighting fixtures, incorporating artificial light into the architecture. On the other hand, the light bulbs reduced the need for windows in buildings. Consequentally, plate glass sales began dropping and several major glass companies feared bankruptcy. While lightbulbs were made of glass, the amount involved was far too small to compensate for the glass once used in windows. In reaction, a consortium of glazing and window manufacturers got together and sponsored the development of a new style of architecture called "International Modernism" which featured extensive and unecessary use of glazing. Altogether, the invention of bulbs totally changed the history of building architecture

https://archinect.com/forum/thread/115958897/how-the-invention-of-the-light-bulb-influenced-the-architecture

The third impact is that light bulbs are a cornerstone of outdoor advertisement and security, especially at night. Signs use light bulbs in many ways; as simple illumination, to backlight sign lettering, or as a flashing attention-getter. Signs use many types of bulbs, including LED, fluorescent and incandescent lights. For instance, Las Vegas is a testament for the allure of light bulbs--some casinos have thousands constantly flashing to draw customers their way. The Luxor's famous light beam shoots straight up into the sky with the power of 39 Xenon light bulbs. According to the observation of Heather Bliss, The Neon Museum in Las Vegas houses a graveyard of old signs, which used neon bulbs to garner tourist attention. Lights are also been used outside to make things visible and keep people safe. Ƒor example, you can see light bulbs in street lamps, at bus stops, in parking lots and at the gas station, its hood aglow with bright fluorescent bulbs plastering the area above your head. Light bulbs are used to keep areas safe by making them visible and uninviting to potential criminals.

http://www.hunker.com/13414131/uses-for-the-light-bulb

The invention of bulbs totally changed human’s lifestyle at the thee aspects above, which are stimulated the light industry, alternated the building architecture and received the outdoor advertisement. The light bulbs are also been recognized as the most influential invention for many famous people, which it deserved. Such as Tom Waits, who’s a famous America’s singer, he said that, My reality needs imagination like a bulb needs a socket. My imagination needs reality like a blind man needs a cane.
