One of my Grandma Lee's brothers died, she was tortured, but the rest of her family survived. The town she lived in was destroyed.  She and my grandfather Billie Williams came to the U.S on a naval destroyer ship, on which my aunt Rose was born. She had planned to come to the U.S when she married my grandfather. My grandmother Judy Steger and my mother however, always lived in the U.S. When she was young, she lived in Tracy, Minnesota. My great great grandmother came from Germany to the U.S when she was 7. My great great grandmother's family was poor, and had some trouble supporting the family.
