Based on Group 2’s presentation, we have come to a conclusion that Singapore’s integration efforts have been successful in integrating immigrants. Some examples, we found from Group 2’s presentation would be the integration efforts done in school. One example would be implementing Racial Harmony Day celebrations in schools. This integration effort made by schools is effective in integrating immigrants, as immigrants do not have a knowledgeable background of Singapore’s heritage and culture. With Racial Harmony Day celebrations, local students can take their first step in welcoming, interacting and befriending the foreign students as well as to try and understand their cultures and traditions while in turn sharing our own, this makes it easier for them to integrate into the Singaporean society.

1.Yes the integration efforts in Singapore's school has been successful as there are more positive responses than negative responses.
2.Some examples are Sports Day and Racial Harmony Day in schools. As presented in the slides, these kind of events encourages interaction between Singaporean and foreign students as they have the common experiences and they get to know more about each other's culture and embrace the various differences. However there are also problems such as immigrants speaking to Singaporean students who speak English as their main communication language, making it hard for immigrants to integrate into the school community in Singapore.
3.Some reasons are that there are a lack of activities in schools to integrate foreign students and may result in them not being able to interact with each other easily and misunderstandings may form easily when there are problems in communication.
4.Concepts that can be applied are that integrating immigrants can be done by sharing common experiences or knowing more about each other's culture.Miscommunication or ineffective communication may also be a barrier towards successful integration. The evidence used was the responses from the close ended questions that is being subdivided to different relevant categories that showed how the respondents felt towards the question. Also, through the open-ended questions, the evidence gathered is more specific in detail as in what are the various activities that integrates immigrants.
Others:The conclusion part may actually be slightly more specific about the activities mentioned.Overall, the presentation was clear and concise.
