The Senator berated General Weyler of Spain for his cruelty by putting over thousands of Cubans in camps and starving them until nearly 400,000 Cubans died due to the conditions. The Senator called for action by commenting on how the Cubans’ freedom was being stripped from them.</div>]]></description>
