Meghan is the Duchess of Sussex (followed by the duchess) or just Meghan on second reference. Harry can be Prince Harry, or the Duke of Sussex (followed by the duke or the prince) or just Harry.
The Queen is simply the Queen.
Hyphens remove ambiguity in cases such as: re-cover and recover; re-sent and resent; re-sign and resign (a mighty important distinction) and re-form and reform.
Most of us are reasonably confident about apostrophes, but a lesser-known use is to prevent ambiguity. In do's and don'ts: the first apostrophe serves that purpose. Then, of course, one can dot one's i's and cross one's t's, and attempt to remember one's abc's.
An apostrophe is required for the '80s, but not for the 1990s.
Then there are words that are commonly used incorrectly, such as refute (which means to disprove, rather than deny).
