         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is an amazing example of hyperrealism drawing.  There needs to be superior attention to detail to achieve this but if you notice - what a young artist needs to learn is VALUES.  This artist masters the use of light and dark values to achieve this sort of realism.<br>Enjoy.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>So, I was just drawing with my daughters and they both were getting frustrated with their cartoon figures hands, erasing so much they are burning a hole in their paper.<br>I found some old step-by-step instructions I had in my reference folder.  They looked like the attachment below.  I like this artist broke it down to rectangles first then made them a form and then curved the edges to finish the fingers and hands off.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>How to Draw a Chameleon</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><ol><li><strong>Draw a quarter circle.</strong></li><li><strong>Draw a simple body behind.</strong></li><li><strong>Draw two legs.</strong></li><li><strong>Draw a curly tail.</strong></li><li><strong>Add an eye and curly tongue.</strong></li><li><strong>Add strips to body and tail.</strong></li><li><strong>Draw a branch and leaves below.</strong></li><li><strong>Add a sun in the background.</strong></li><li><strong>Trace with a marker and color.  When we color this project we are going to use Color Theory for the chameleon.  So, when you look at the chameleon it kind of resembles a rainbow, right?  A rainbow is made from sunlight and how it hits your eye.  There are a lot of things that go into understanding color but all we are focusing on here is the color spectrum, which can be remembered by ROY-G-BIV (in that order).  </strong></li></ol><div><strong>R - red</strong></div><div><strong>O - orange</strong></div><div><strong>Y - yellow</strong></div><div><strong>G - green</strong></div><div><strong>B - blue</strong></div><div><strong>I - indigo (dark blue or navy blue)  This color is sometimes eliminated or overlooked</strong></div><div><strong>V - violet</strong></div>]]></description>

         <title>Blow Art Germ Paintings</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I thought this might be a good younger student project that connects to what we are going through with COVID-19.<br><strong>Tools</strong></div><ul><li>Paintbrush</li><li>Straws</li></ul><div><strong>Instructions</strong></div><ol><li>Pour your liquid watercolors into an art palette or paint cups. </li><li>Use a paintbrush to add small blobs of paint onto the paper.</li><li>Place the straw about an inch away form the puddle. Use the straw to blow the paint blobs around in all directions. Try blowing down directly onto the puddle, blowing from the left and blowing from the right. See how many different shapes you can make with the watercolors.</li><li>Repeat this step with each of the colors.</li><li>Let the paint dry completely.</li><li>Cut circles from the white paper and glue them onto the blow paint germs.</li><li>Use a black marker to draw the eyes onto the germs.</li><li>With the black marker, draw lines coming out from the center of each germ. Paint small circles at the ends of these lines with a coordinating paint color.</li><li>Glue the white paper onto a piece of colored construction paper to finish it off.</li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I do mine a little bit different then this one but they are very similar @ the end.<br>Try both!<br>1) Cut out the small circle from a paper plate.<br>2) Make a wavy line across the plate.<br>3) Make 4 dots on the wavy line.<br>4) Draw 5 "bouncy" lines or humps between each dot creating columns.<br>5) Draw a wavy line from each dot to the top of the circle.<br>6) Repeat step #4 in each column all the way to the edge of the paper plate.<br>7) Repeat for the bottom half and now you are finished drawing.<br>8) Color like the example below.</div>]]></description>
