Most store-bought toys are made of plastic, which is uniform, cold and often lifeless. Natural materials (wood, wool, fir cones, dough) give the child a completely different experience:

Texture: The child touches a rough cone, soft wool or loose dough, which develops fine motor skills.

Scent: Gingerbread men smell like real cinnamon and ginger. This smell lingers in the memory and even years later evokes a feeling of “childhood and home.”

A toy bought in a store is already a finished form — it has a specific color, shape, and function.
