It is most commonly happening in the summer.
While on the other hand indirect sunlight is sunlight that is filtered and almost blocked due to something in it's way such as a tree or building.
Indirect sunlight happens most commonly in the winter season.
Both indirect sunlight and direct sunlight are caused by practical reasons but can also be caused by the different annual tilts of the Earth.
