         <description><![CDATA[<div>When discussing the heroes and heroines of the war, it goes without saying that those who served and aided in the medical profession where heroes in their own right. Not only did they have to cope with a growing number of sickness and diseases developing within the trenches but many countries had to fund institutions to aid wounded soldiers - i.e. help them integrate in to society with missing limbs or help those in recovering from shell shock. <br><br></div>]]></description>
