Claire de lune has a different style compared to classical and romantic music, it has uncoventional harmonies and scales. The impressionist music focuses on a specific individual chord which gives some direction also the rhythm is often replaced by orchestration, harmony and texture.

1.) Clair de Lune, translated to "Moonlight," is a piece composed by Claude Debussy as a part of his larger collection, " Suite Bergamasque," which refers to a dance. It is the third section of the Suite Bergamasque and inspired by a poem by Paul Verlaine, also entitled Clair de Lune. Debussy started his composition for the piece in 1890 and later published it in 1905. The overall scene impression is in between being happy and sad at the same time. He used the whole tone scale, pentatonic scale, and unconventional chord progressions to create music that no one had heard before. The average performance of the piece lasts about five minutes, and it is divided into three parts. The first section is an Andante, and it introduces the main theme. Followed by the second section, which is faster, and it adds the second theme. Lastly, the third section is slower, and it brings back the main theme from the first section, which helps in closing the piece.

2.) Clair de Lune is different from Classical and Romantic Music as Debussy did not conform to the rules and standardizations of the preceding musical eras. He used unconventional harmonies and scales in creating music that is new and different. Although he was inspired by Claude Monet's Impressionism, he did not like to be grouped in the same category. Classical Music is balanced, objective, and polished, while Romantic Music is more emotional, expressive, and diverse in sounds. Clair de Lune is different from Classical Music because it did not conform to standardizations and the tidy composition. Clair de Lune is expressive and free-flowing, similar to Romantic Music, but what makes it different is that it does not shift from solemn and light to intense and heavy keys. It is capable of being free, emotional, and expressive without conforming to a standard pattern, and is capable of keeping the melody mellow and calm, which I find very unique.

3.) Basing on the composition of Clair de Lune as an Impressionist Music, it is similar to Impressionist Art as they are both vague. Impressionist art uses blurry lines and cool and warms colors, while Impressionist music has a blurry melody that isn't easy to follow immediately.
