observation phase - As the teacher I would observe the students behaviors, academic performance, and social interactions for signs that student might be struggling. My goal here is to collect baseline information on the child.

Screening and initial assessments - I would conduct formative and summative screenings to assess language skills, cognitive abilities, and learning strategies. My goal would be to see if there are signs of language or cognitive challenges

Progress monitoring- I would regularly assess the students progress to see if interventions are becoming effective. My goal is to see if the progress is satisfactory or if more evaluation is needed.

Specialized assessment- if my concerns persist with the student, I would then refer the student for specialized assessments. My Goal for the student is to identify if there is a specific language or learning disability.

Differentiating language and learning disability - I would review assessment results. language disabilities often manifest as difficulties in understanding and producing language, while learning disabilities generally affect processing. Doing this would determine the students area of primary need.

ongoing review and adjustment - I would now continue to monitor the student and adjust interventions based on the students progress. This would accomplish my goal to identify any struggling student and make sure the students needs are met effectively.
