• Balance, this is when the podcast does support or portray others sides of an argument in the same way and not show any bias.

• Subjectivity, this is when the audience should be able to understand your emotions towards a subject without you directly addressing it.

• Opinions, yes it is good to share an opinion, this opinion cannot be hateful towards groups of any kind and must be supported with facts and/or evidence.

• Representation, it is good to represent people or groups in the media. However, some people may represent them being bad and hold them away with stereotypes and negative portrayals.

• Privacy, this means that people with a passion for a subject deserve their privacy. this can prevent them from hateful comments on social media and even in public.

• Audiences of Podcasts

• About 25% of people in the UK listen to podcasts regularly. This means that podcasters need to make sure that the audience they have are focused and engaged and engaged while watching and/or listening to the podcast.

• 55% of 12-34 year olds listen to podcasts on the monthly basis whereas only 20% of people over 55 years old listen to the same amount.

• The audience of the Podcast Impulsive by Logan Paul is mainly 18-24 year olds and they are 60% male. Because of Logans wide social media appearances such as Youtube, Boxing, WWE and even Nikolodeon when he was younger, this attracts a much larger audience and makes more people want to watch it from multiple different parts of the media industry.

• This is a comedy podcast that includes many guests such as KSI and his brother Jake Paul who follows in a similar path as Logan.

• Logans podcast episodes average around an hour and a half meaning they are longer for viewers who want them to last but not too long so they don't get too boring or repetitive.

• Another podcast is called the Sh*tsngigs podcast and there are 2 hosts called James and Fuhad. This is a comedy podcast with a demographic of younger teens as they usually have episodes where they are reacting to 'outrageous' things people have said on social media and get a laugh out of it. They have a few guests like the Youtube stars at the moment Yung Filly and Cunkz who are known for their dynamic duo comical clips and moments.

• Joe Rogans podcast is one of if not the most popular podcast in the world at this moment. His audience consists of 46% of the fans are between 18-34 meaning there could be sensitive and serious topics. Joe rogans podcast is a talk podcast meaning some may find it interesting but others could find it boring and unhelpful. The average episode on this podcast is 2 hours and 37 minutes. This is one of the longer podcasts but can consist of the most valuable information. He also has guests come onto the podcast like Snoop Dogg and Elon Musk.

• The 'Whats Good' podcast is one which is hosted by YouTube Simon Minter also known as 'Miniminter' and Andrew Shane also known as 'Randolph'. This podcast averages around 1 hour 40 minute episodes and they will usually talk about things like recent events such as concerts but also they talk about things people have said on social media. For example there was a time when they said ' Once in your life you could've walked past a murdered and never have known'. This type of talk podcast may interest people who like having general conversations because it can be so broad and cover a lot of information. Guests like Danny Aarons and Yang Chip have been featured on this podcasts who are very close friends with the group Simon is a part of called 'Sidemen'. This also brings in the younger audience because the Sidemens demographic is mainly younger teens.

• The Chunks and Filly show is another podcast. This is a comedy podcast of a duo who are very well known on Youtube and Chunkz is a part of a group similar to the Sidemen called 'Beta Squad'. Each episode averages around an hour. They have had people the the rapper 'Aitch' which when he came on they did a quiz with questions like 'What is this countries flag?' This was very comedic as Yung Filly has a personality of a spring and is always bouncing around. Their audience would include teens who watch their YouTube channel as that's what they're known from.

-Soundboard is a very important piece of equipment used in the podcasting studio. this is because it helps with adjusting microphone volume and headphone volume. Also on the soundboard you can adjust the volume of any extracted sound so a phone call or just some low volume music to sit in the background to help break any silent moment. There is also 8 coloured buttons which are used for sound effects which can create a more comedic sector to the podcast and break the seriousness. This is only suitable for more light hearted podcasts because otherwise it may break from the actual story.

-The podcast room is very cool and I can definitely see myself spending quite a while in there chatting absolute rubbish for hours (if possible).

-Some things that could've gone better was more depth in the conversations but because of time restrictions we had to cut short but when it comes to the actual podcasting we can spend much more time on the conversations and become much more in depth.

-Some things that went well are, we had the microphones at a good volume. We managed to remember to hit the record button. We also managed to keep on topic and smoothly go from one topic to the other without it seeming scripted even though it was.

-We recorded a gaming one which is aimed art younger teens who are old enough to understand the importance on podcasts but also not too old for Minecraft and little bit nerdy topics.

To reflect on this, I believe that this idea will work out how I want it to in the end and it will go as planned hopefully all the way through.

This infographic wasn’t too hard to make using canva and the template having them split apart. As I was making this I realised how different radios and podcasts actually are.

The red figure in the middle can symbolise the eerie and paranormal sector of the podcast and the conversational part I covered by the fact that there is such simplicity to the design meaning its not overwhelming and it it fit for the chats that were going to be having.

Foley is used to create meaning and enhance sounds in the media industry.

When I was making this podcast I came across a hump in the ground. I made the mistake of it not saving so after making all the editing it didn’t save. That was an issue. Luckily, I managed to get it back on track and get it back to where it was. Other than that I didn’t experience any issues with the assignment brief as it was very well structured and put together. At first I was planning on making it an audio only podcast until I realised I had to include some visuals somewhere in there to make the mark scheme fully.

Also, while making the actual podcast I didn’t make many mistakes the only ‘major’ one that I had was someone walking into the room but that’s easily edited out. I managed to edit it out and make the podcast run smoothly at the same time which is always a bonus.

I made sure that the podcast didn’t feel like just a general chat about life and a waste of 15 minutes of someone’s life. I made sure that this podcast was worth the time and effort that someone has put into watching it and made it worth while. The pre production all went well. The script was easy to make as it was just topics of conversations to start off with and carry on without there being a stop of momentum. The script really helped keep the podcast going and making sure that there wasn’t any awkward silences in the middle of them.

I used my research effectively as I saw that a lot of people watch and/or listen to podcasts I realised that this is a popular thing. This is also important to know as you can see how many people you are trying to attract in the long term.

YouTube would be how I would polish it just so then I can have some visuals to go along with the audio. This means that the viewers can choose between both visuals and audio and can switch depending on their personal preference in the moment.

Prior to this project I didn't understand how to use Adobe Premier Pro very well at all. Now I understand a little more than the basics and can edit effectively maybe with some slight assistance.

Overall, I feel that this project went really well for me and I am very pleased with the results that came out in the ending.
