I found that coming across content on Pinterest that was directly related to my topic of travel was much easier and clearer than on Pocket. Once I looked up 'travel' I was immediately presented with many pins I could use for my board, however Pocket required more looking into each article to make sure it was related to my topic. This shows that more refined searching is required when searching on Pocket compared to Pinterest. However, finding content outside of Pocket and then putting it into my list was very useful and easy. Both platforms are great for managing information as they clearly are used for the use, storage and preservation of content. The interconnectivity of both is clear as you can access through your web browser on a laptop, but also download the apps to your phone so once logged into your account you can see the same content.

By owning all of your own content and the application not being able to keep it when deleted, you have control over who has access to your content. Also, policies around personal data and how it is used limits that data access to just the application itself.
